August 2012, aged 12.

Stuart Kitchener.

Why did you start training?

To learn how to protect myself.

Who inspires you?

Billy Brennan.

What drives you to keep training?

Fitness and to progress up the dan grades.

What other sports do you do/have you done?

Football, shooting and athletics.

Who do you know that is still training from when you started?

Most of my instructors and my younger brother

What advice would you give to someone who wishes to start karate now?

Don't give up your goal of being a blackbelt.

What age did you start karate?

9 years old

What are your future goals & hopes?

I would like to become an instructor and also join the poice force.

How often do you train?

2-3 times a week.

What is your favourite kick?

My favourite kick is turn heel kick because it is so powerful

What is your favourite hyung / kata?

My favourite kata is Koryo.

What is your favourite fighting move or technique?

Front kick followed by a back fist.

What is your top tip for others?

Don't drop your guard.

What is the best piece of advice you have received?
