Grading Success

August 2009After completing the grading at the Blackwell Academy Jan Strzelec was awarded his 5th Dan. Jan was the first senior Dan grade to go through the revised 5th Dan Black Belt sylabus. Jan demonstrated his extensive knowledge by demonstrating Japanese Kata from two styles Shotokan and Shitoryu. Following the kata performance Jan faced indepth questioning on the kata performed.

Andy Cornish and Adam Jowett were both promoted to 2nd Dan and Matthew Tecklenberg recieved his 1st Dan making it a 100% success for Arena Black Belts.
