CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THE ARENA STUDENTS WHO COMPETED TODAY! BETWEEN YOU ALL, YOU BROUGHT HOME 27 MEDAL!
Aiden joined Arena Karate just over a year ago with a simple goal: to build his confidence, make new friends and try something new. Since then, he has become a valued member of the club and has embraced both training and competition with enthusiasm.
Currently an 8th Kyu (Orange-Green Belt), Aiden has already discovered how much he enjoys being part of the competition team. For him, one of the best parts of competing is being surrounded by a friendly and supportive group of teammates who encourage each other every step of the way.
The welcoming atmosphere at Arena Karate has played a huge role in Aiden's journey so far. What started as a way to improve confidence has become a hobby he genuinely loves, helping him develop new skills, make friends and challenge himself in ways he never expected.
Looking ahead, Aiden is keen to continue progressing through the grades and take part in even more competitions over the next 12 months. With his growing confidence and positive attitude, he's excited to see where his martial arts journey takes him next.
When asked what he enjoys most about being part of Arena Karate, Aiden's answer perfectly sums up his experience:
"The friendly, welcoming and fun atmosphere."
Outside of karate, Aiden is an animal lover and has three pet parrots at home—something that always makes for an interesting conversation.
For anyone thinking about entering their first competition, Aiden has some encouraging advice:
"Absolutely go for it. It's so much fun and everyone helps and supports you. It's great for all the family, helps overcome worries and builds confidence."
When asked who has been the biggest supporter on his martial arts journey, Aiden didn't hesitate:
"Stef, the instructor who helped me build my confidence and made me want to take part. I love it and don't want to stop."
What does karate mean to Aiden?
"Friendship, fun and commitment."
